Tenders
Cash (with optional rounding and drawer kick), card via your reader, gift cards, split tender across cash + card, phone orders (typed card), and card-on-file for regulars.
Three ways to do tips
On-screen: the register (or customer display) shows tip presets before the charge.
On the reader: the card machine prompts the customer directly.
Adjust after (restaurant style): the card runs for the check amount, the guest writes a tip on the slip, and the server enters it afterward — orders can't close until every tip is entered (even $0). The register badges how many sales still need tips, and you can require recording cash tips too.
On-reader and adjust-after are mutually exclusive — Settings → Tipping picks your style.
Dual pricing
Show a cash price and a card price on every tile. Receipts and guest checks present it correctly: items at the card (list) price with Card Subtotal / Tax / CARD TOTAL, then CASH TOTAL with its own subtotal and tax — the guest sees the cash savings.
Gift card sales are never taxed.
Discounts, comps & guards
Preset discounts with reasons keep comps accountable; manager PIN can be required. Automatic gratuity can kick in for large parties (set the party size and %). Charity round-up asks guests to round up for your cause.
